Reverend Dan DeWitt's Installation Service We are proud to announce that we will be formally installing Reverend Dan DeWitt on Sunday, August 30th, 2020 at 4p.m. We are still unable to have a "large gala" due to safety concerns. You may participate through the Facebook Livestream at this link (https://www.facebook.com/FBCRantoul).
COVID-19 Update Because we are being mindful of physical distancing and health concerns, the in-person worship experience will be different from what you are used to. We will insist on wearing masks if at all possible, maintaining physical distancing (6 feet), have a strict “no-touch” policy, and limit the size of the in-person worship group to 70 people total (including the pastor, musicians, technicians, ushers, etc.). When you arrive, we will ask you whether you have been feeling sick, have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms, or have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19. If you are sick or have health issues, you should stay at home and continue to worship with us through our Facebook Livestream.
You will need to “reserve” a worship spot each week either on Facebook (click here) or by calling the office at 217-892-2667. Should we have more than 70, we will offer a second in-person worship opportunity at a different time. We will hold off on resuming Sunday School and Children’s Church until further notice.
We are excited to see you soon!
Picnic Church On Saturday evenings at 5:30 p.m., we are going to host a “picnic church”. Several “picnic spots” (which will be about 15 feet away from each other) will be marked off in the grass on the west side of Fultz Hall.. Some Christian “background music” will play while you enjoy your picnic, and around 6:30 p.m. a brief devotion will be given.
We will not have picnic church on Saturday, July 4th. After July 4th, we will have picnic church on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.
Here are some more specifics and guidelines to ensure everyone's safety
If there is rain or a forecast of rain, stay home as the event will be canceled
Bring your own picnic materials (chairs, blankets, food, drinks, etc.)
The church will not be providing anything except a picnic spot and some trash cans
The church will not be open unless there is an emergency
You will be asked to maintain proper social distancing including the following:
Wearing a face mask to and from your picnic spot
Having no physical contact with anyone not in your “family” (not even fist-bumping)
Keeping at least 6 feet between you and others outside your “family” at all times
Serving families by loving people and sharing the Good News
Let there be real harmony among you so there won't be any split in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. 1 Corinthians 1:10
We plan to “reboot” in-person worship beginning July 5, or when the state of Illinois enters phase 4, whichever is later. You will need to “reserve” a worship spot each week either on Facebook (click here) or by calling the office at 217-892-2667.
